Earth Week Litter Clean Up
A volunteer litter clean up is held annually around Earth Day in mid-April. Get together with friends, your community group or co-workers to collect litter from your road, beach or local playground. Groups will receive bags, gloves and a certificate of recognition. Litter bag collection will be organized for your clean up. Email info@southshorewaste.ca or call (902) 543-2991 to register before your clean up.
District of Lunenburg Litter Clean Up Incentive Program
The District of Lunenburg offers the Litter Clean Up Incentive Program for roadways in the District. Groups can earn $100 per kilometer for collecting litter along roadways in the District.
