Fall Wood & Metal Collection

Wood and metal items will be collected on the following dates:

Town of Bridgewater:

September 8 – 11, on your collection day

Town of Mahone Bay:  September 14, entire Town collected

District of Lunenburg:

September 29 – October 9, on your collection day

Combined Wood & Metal Collection Limits:

Bridgewater: 100 kgs (220 lbs)

Mahone Bay: 2 cubic metres (2.6 cubic yards)

District: 4 cubic metres (5.2 cubic yards)

General Information:

· Place wood and metal in separate piles.

· Wood and metal items up to 1.8 m (6 ft.) long accepted. Remove spikes and brackets over 15 cms (6 in.) from wood.

· Drain gas and oil from lawnmowers and other items containing fluids before placing curbside.

· Drop off household hazardous waste, propane tanks, fridges, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers at South Shore Waste Solutions, 908 Mullock Road, Whynott’s Settlement.
