Spring Weight Restrictions & Waste Collection

Spring weight restrictions will go into effect in Lunenburg County on March 15, 2026.

Look for road restriction signs before putting your waste out for collection. Find information about  restricted roads, visit https://novascotia.ca/tran/trucking/springweight.asp, or contact Department of Public Works at 1-844-696-7737 or by email at dpw-occ@novascotia.ca.

Waste Hotline 1-855-530-3324: find out where to put your waste at the roadside during restrictions.

If your road is restricted, place your waste at the  nearest unrestricted, public road by 7:00 am on collection day.
